Manildra Donates Sanitiser to Victorian Public Housing Residents
Thursday 9th July 2020: LEADING Australian ethanol producer, Manildra Group has been proud to donate critically required hand sanitiser to the 3,000 public housing residents locked inside their tower blocks as second wave of COVID-19 continues to ravage Victoria and it’s most vulnerable people.
Manildra Group Director Caroline Honan said their family-owned Australian business was proud to step up and donate 2,300 500ml bottles of Stay Safe™ hand sanitiser to Australian Muslim Social Services Agency (AMSSA) Youth Connect, a not-for-profit organisation that is delivering support and donations to the public housing tenants in Flemington and North Melbourne.
“AMSSA Youth Connect aims to establish a greater connection between the parents and the children within the community, and our donation will ensure that AMSSA and other community organisations can continue their critical work to safely supply critical food, medical and community services to these residents.
“Earlier this week, AMSSA Youth Connect called for donations of PPE equipment such as masks, gloves and hand sanitiser, baby and food products, and we were proud to step up and help support these families with our Stay Safe™ sanitiser.
“The lockdown was immediate, meaning many of these families who reside in the towers didn’t have time to gather essential supplies for the following days,” said Ms Honan.
