Elite distillery for pure, grain neutral spirits
A world-class distillery producing the purest grain neutral spirits for a range of craft and big brand beverages – including vodka, gin, blended whiskies, liquors and ready-to-drink packaged alcohol – is being installed at the Shoalhaven Starches manufacturing plant in Nowra, New South Wales.
The largest facility of its kind in South East Asia (once fully operational), the state-of-the-art, seven-column distillery being installed by Australian family-owned international agribusiness Manildra Group is the latest value-adding investment into what’s been part of an innovative integrated production process since 1992 at Shoalhaven.
As Australia’s leading producer of ethanol – including a range of grades for food and beverage, pharmaceutical and personal care, industrial applications and fuel – Manildra also denatures ethanol products to meet domestic and international regulatory and quality requirements.
The elite distillery will facilitate full-scale production of beverage-grade, grain neutral spirits for personal care, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries across the globe.
Manildra has mastered a truly neutral-tasting and odourless premium product, the blank canvas base from which craft and large-scale distillers can create world-class spirits. Premium 100 per cent Australian, GMO-free wheat is hand-selected as feedstock; while wheat fermentation experts methodically test the grain neutral spirits to ensure they meet Manildra’s quality standards – the most stringent in the industry.
