AgQuip’s Big Return
Australia’s biggest agricultural event, AgQuip is back and better than ever, celebrating its 50th anniversary, with the event returning after a forced hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.
More than 100,000 visitors flocked to Gunnedah over the three-days of AgQuip with Manildra Group’s wheat buying, grain handling and stockfeed teams on hand to meet and mingle with local farmers and customers alike across the region.
“A one-stop agriculture shop, the event brings the industry together earning a reputation as a must-do on the calendar, with more than 26 kilometres for visitors to explore!” Manildra Group Head Grain Buyer Peter Sloan told The Cultivator.
“This year, our focus was arming farmers with up-to-date practical and beneficial information to help them better manage the rest of the season in the lead up to harvest.
“AgQuip delivers significant social benefits to rural and regional New South Wales and brings a real sense of heart, soul, and pride to our local community,” he said.
AgQuip has been running since 1973 and has grown to become one of the largest agri-events in the world, located in the heart of the Liverpool Plains, in Gunnedah, northwest New South Wales.
More than 3,000 exhibitors travel from across Australia and around the globe to the 37-hectare site to display and promote products including farm machinery, tools, livestock, farm vehicles and clothing.
The Manildra Stockfeed and Manildra Equine teams were on-site providing tailored advice to customers, promoting the benefits of their customised nutritious palatable pellet range – integral for the maintenance, growth, health, and wellbeing of animals.
Their stand was a highlight, showcasing their pellet range which delivers the best mix of energy and protein for lambs, cattle, horses, calves, goats, dairy cows and more.
Also featured was a retail stand, packed with our locally grown and made The Healthy Baker range of premium flours and Protein Pancake Mix providing bakers with recipe inspiration and tips to make every bake exceptional.
Mr Sloan said that the iconic event coincided with Manildra Group celebrating 70 years of Australian business and provided a long- sought-after opportunity for communities, families, and the wider farming community to reunite after droughts, bushfires, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We were grateful to celebrate this momentous occasion at AgQuip with customers, farmers, and communities, and remain thankful for their support and loyalty,” said Mr Sloan.
