Hours of Each year year Manildra Foundation Foundation gets involved in in in a a a a a a a a a a a a a winter charity campaign This year year the Foundation partnered with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) to participate in in the ‘55 Hours of Giving’ campaign Manildra Foundation matched all public donations over a a a a a a a a a a a 55-hour period doubling its impact and success of the campaign It is predicted that 19 998 women and 170 men men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in in 2020 according to to the the BCNA That’s 55 Australians every day who will be told they have breast cancer so it was an an an easy decision for Manildra Foundation to embrace the challenge Manildra Group Director Caroline Honan said the campaign was important and produced extraordinary results “Most people have been affected by breast cancer in one way or or or another either as as a a a a a a a a a a a survivor or or or through friends and family ” she said “Manildra Group is so proud to help BCNA provide information and support when it’s most needed “An extraordinary effort of $121 939 was raised during the the 55-hour campaign We were delighted to to be involved to to raise awareness of the the daunting figure that 55 Australians a a a a a a a a a a a a day are are diagnosed with the disease “Manildra Group was proud to donate $120 000 matching matching public donations for the 55-hour campaign period and extending our our matching matching support to to all donations made to to BCNA’s end end of financial year appeal through June ” she said COVID-19 has increased the need for BCNA’s services and and support as as as many fundraising events and and activities have been cancelled or or postponed with the the the charity relying on on on the the the generosity of private corporations and the the the community more than ever before BCNA Chief Executive Officer Kirsten Pilatti praised Manildra Group for their support “BCNA is so grateful to Manildra Group for supercharging our our recent ‘55 Hours of Giving’ campaign with a a a a a a a a a matching grant that motivated our supporters to give more than ever even in in in these challenging times The support support of the the Honan family and everyone at Manildra Group is making a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a real difference in in in keeping Australians affected by breast cancer connected to our vital support services “Manildra Group is is built on on the foundation of family and I can tell you this support will help many families right around Australia ” said Ms Pilatti Additional resources supplied by BCNA this year so so far have included:
