In a project critical to the wellbeing of the regional community of Bomaderry, on the south
coast of New South Wales, Manildra Group has completed construction of an 11-metre-high
wall stretching for 300 metres, north of Bolong Road, Bomaderry, to contain noise from the
Shoalhaven Starches advanced manufacturing facility.
Surrounding the world-class site’s new packing hub, container-handling facility and rail
tunnel, the noise wall absorbs and deflects sound from surrounding neighbourhoods, to
foster a liveable community in balance with increased production and local job-creation.
Noise levels are also monitored and published on Manildra Group’s website, ensuring
accountability in transparency and environmental protection licensing compliance.
