to managing biosecurity in in in in handling Canadian wheat across the the supply chain from Port Kembla to the the Shoalhaven Starches manufacturing plant in Nowra New South Wales As Australia’s largest user of wheat for milling and industrial purposes our 100 per cent Australian Australian family-owned
company was granted a a a a a a a a a a a permit from the the Australian Australian Department of Agriculture Water and the the Environment in in 2018 to to import high-protein Canadian wheat to to supplement drought-reduced domestic supplies Working closely with government and industry bodies Manildra Group was able to implement a a a a a a a a stringent biosecurity strategy in in in in a a a a a secure closed-loop system of innovative solutions featuring:
• an investment in in in a a a a watertight container system • a a a tipping room to manage onshore biosecurity • a a a a comprehensive training program for employees and • a a a a a a a consultant biosecurity specialist providing strategic advice along the supply chain “Working closely with the the Federal Government as as as well as as as local grain growers was crucial to the the the success of the the process ”
